Madison Title Agency was founded in 1998, as a small, local title agency in Lakewood, NJ. Madison Title was founded by Joseph I. Rosenbaum and Elliot S. Zaks, local real estate investors. Their experience in purchasing and managing commercial real estate laid the foundation for a strong understanding of the machinations of the real estate market. Mr. Rosenbaum and Mr. Zaks had encountered difficulties in the closing process. They understood there was a need for a title insurance company with strong expertise and excellent customer service. Madison Title Agency was founded to meet that need.
In its first year as a local title agency, Madison completed 2,500 transactions and insured more than $1 billion of liability. As local clients needed title services in neighboring states, they expanded their service area to include New York and then additional states across the United States. In order to ensure that clients received the highest level of expertise as well as support, Madison attracted top talent to head its title operations including national title experts. The company quickly grew to provide a full complement of title services: handling searches, writing policies, managing transactions and providing closing and escrow services in all 50 states.
Today, Madison Title regularly handles more than 10,000 transactions a year. Madison Title facilitates complex commercial deals in the billions of dollars, while still handling residential real estate transactions of all sizes.
